SIALKOT: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Monday claimed that the historic victory of his party was only a few days away.

Addressing a public meeting here at Jinnah Stadium, he claimed the popularity graph of PTI was rapidly going up across the country and it was in a very strong position to win the coming elections with the votes of masses.

Imran Khan said May 11 will be the day of victory of PTI, urging the people to vote his party to resolve all the crises and for putting the country on the way of progress and prosperity.

On the occasion, Khan promised to provide better health and education system and adding that the people should support the PTI on May 11 elections to bring about a real change in the country.

He alleged that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had played a role of friendly opposition during the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led government and left the people of the country alone in miseries and starvation.

Meanwhile, addressing a public meeting near Railway Station in Pasrur city, the PTI chairman said, “We will utilise all available resources to eradicate corruption, unemployment and to control price hike and would bring progress and prosperity after coming to power.”

He said the proper and honest use of natural resources could help the country to come out of all the crises.

Imran Khan said that a “new Pakistan” will come into being on May 11 and the masses would celebrate it.

He alleged that 70,000 people were kidnapped in Punjab during the last five years and provincial government completely failed to curb crimes.

He announced the PTI would arrange Local Bodies election within 90 days after voted to power.

The PTI chief said that work of MNAs and MPAs was to formulate policies, not to run the Local Government system and added that no parliamentarian would be given funds for development projects during his government.

Regarding his policies, he said the police would be reorganized, land record would be computerised while corruption will be rooted out.

Terming the Metro Bus System wastage of public money, he alleged that the PML-N spent the entire Punjab budget on the road project. “The money spent on the bus service should have been spent on power projects to eliminate the loadshedding,” he added.

Khan said the country needed new provinces and the PTI was in favour of new provinces. However, the party would make new provinces on administrative basis, he maintained.
