KARACHI: A child was injured Friday when a bomb exploded in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth area, DawnNews reported.

The explosion, which was the result of what police described as a ‘tennis-ball-bomb’, blasted in the Faqir Goth colony in Sohrab Goth.

According to the report, panic broke out in the area after the explosion.

Soon afterwards, police arrested a suspect who was within close proximity of the blast.

Police said the intended target of the attack was the house of a businessman from the Sabzi Mandi market of Karachi who had been receiving bomb threats for several months.

Police were still interrogating the accused who denied any involvement in the blast.
