THE Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Orga) has announced that it will issue 200 licences for CNG stations (March 29).

There is a strange phenomenon in Pakistan. The ministry of petroleum through its spokesperson (the dual national adviser) has strongly spoken about discontinuing of supply of natural gas to CNG stations.

Now Ogra has announced in opposition to the ministry of petroleum’s earlier statement. This announcement was due to the shortage of gas. That is why the industries in Punjab are not being provided gas. Now all of a sudden Ogra has discovered some new wells from where the gas will be supplied to these new licensees. The supply situation of gas to industries in Punjab has not recovered.

According to the new statement, the gas will be supplied only for four days a week. Somebody is not telling the truth.

Why do we have to see such contradictory statements from two different government authorities? It appears that there is no coordination between these two authorities. People are confused and there is no explanation of any sort from either of the department.

Please stop this and start telling people what is the truth since the political pressure has now ended. We want only the truth. Or is it going to be used for political gains during the coming elections.

Merging for what?

Merging for what?

The concern is that if the government is thinking of cutting costs through the merger, we might even lose the functionality levels we currently have.
