Rise in militancy

Published April 1, 2013

HOW can Pervez Musharraf talk about the rise in militancy in Karachi when he himself approved of it by showing his muscles in Islamabad on the day when 45 plus people were killed and many injured?

Also, Lal Masjid had been cooking up for years. There were reports that someone, sitting with him in the government, got them freed by standing surety for them whenever any action was taken by the police. What did his security agencies do to take caution? Where was that person when things got out of control?

Everyone in Pakistan knows how independent prime ministers have been in the government for 65 years, particularly with presidents in uniform. Of course, public memory is short, but not too short.
