THIS refers to Sameer Ahmad’s letter ‘The fatal disorder’ (March 27). The writer rightly pointed out that “we should at least be honest with future generations in telling them about ‘where we went wrong’.”

I agree with him as it is the basic prerequisite for any society to progress. If we aren’t told the actual history and deeds of our ancestors, it will be very difficult to sort out issues pertaining to the prosperity of the country.

Moreover, I would like to say that the governments should now end up teaching us wrong history.

We should be told, for instance, what happened in 1947 in Balochistan. Was Balochistan annexed? There are thousands and thousands of questions and they could only be answered if history is presented without serving anyone’s interest.

Why not tell the people about the mistakes done in the past in order to avoid further pitfalls.

I hope I may get heard and some unbiased departments may be set up to educate the youth of Pakistan, and if this happens, then it won’t be short of a revolution.
