THIS is apropos the advertisement by the former Punjab chief minister in which he is inaugurating the ground-breaking ceremony of the Mubarak Centre which was mentioned by him as the tallest building in the world.

The plate had his name with the inauguration date May 13, 2005.

I want to ask him that if this metro bus project can be completed in just six months, couldn’t he complete the project while his tenure after the said date lasted for nearly 30 months?

It means that he was not sincere at the time in completing the project as early as possible in order to secure and retain foreign investment.

I am not criticising but as a Pakistani I reserve the right to ask him what were those factors which restrained him from accomplishing such a project which would have been a prestige for Pakistan?

Pakistan would have received a huge foreign investment through this project and it would have stabled the Pakistani currency which was stumbling at that time. Was he just telling us his past plans?
