Violence claims 11 lives in Karachi

KARACHI: At least 11 people were killed Saturday in separate incidents of violence in different parts of Karachi, DawnNews reported.

Three people were gunned down and one person was injured in during firing in the city’s Orangi Town. The assailants managed to flee the scene and the bodies and the injured were shifted to a hospital.

In another incident, one person was shot dead in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony. Police said the victim, who was killed in the colony’s Green Town area, was a teacher in a madrassah.

Separately, two people were killed during firing in the city’s Moach Goth area, falling within the limits of the Mauripur police station, whereas, one person was shot dead in Liaquatabad’s B-1 area.

Furthermore, a body bearing torture marks was found in Karachi’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town. The body has not yet been identified.

Also, in the city’s New Mianwali Colony in Manghopir, two alleged dacoits and a female bystander were killed during a police encounter.

We wake uo everyday with the news of killing that went on in different parts of the city. It feels aweful witn a cup of iea listening to the news of the dead. We hear about thebody count and where they were killed. Nobody knows the motives of the killers. No suspicion against anybody. The shooting goes on unhamprted or resisted. These gun man way lay their unsuspecting victims Some of them are slain in a bizarre fashion. None of these victims had any anomosity with anyone. Yet they got killed. We must probe each killing and investigate properly.We need to train our police force, We condemn all these killing because that is what we can do. May Allah rest their soul in peace and tranquility. and give courage to the family to fore bear the loss. We must plan some strategy tp combat with this violence. Sincerely, Javaid bashir Lahore

People In Karachi are numb. No one from outside will come and fix your situation. You will have to do it on your own. So choice is to do something about it or just sit and wait for your turn.
