LAHORE, Feb 6: A Pakistan Railways police team has foiled an attempt to steal copper wires from the Kot Lakhpat section.

A spokesman said during routine patrol on Wednesday, a police team saw some men attempting to cut the wires. As soon as the police tried to stop them, the ‘robbers’ managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.

A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.

Meanwhile, Railways Inspector General Syed Ibne Husain directed the Lahore SSP to award commendation certificates to the police team for foiling the theft bid.
