LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Asif Bajwa expressed hope that the proposed bilateral series between India and Pakistan would be organised according to the schedule in March and April this year as the situation at the LoC getting calm. “PHF president Qasim Zia and I are going to Malaysia on Wednesday to attend the Asian Hockey Federation meeting and the PHF delegation has a plan to hold a meeting with the Indian delegation to give final shape to the proposed series,” Bajwa told reporters.
He said the PHF would probably ask Malaysia to visit Pakistan this year to play some matches.
He said if India and Malaysia would tour Pakistan, the PHF would also start planning to hold its own commercial league in 2013 on the pattern of the Indian Hockey League.
The AHF will finalise the calendar of activity in its meeting.—Sports Reporter
