Four more children die of measles

ISLAMABAD: A deadly measles outbreak has left at least four more children dead, mounting the death toll to 459 across the country while 429 children have died in Sindh only.

According to reports gathered from different parts of Sindh, two children died in Kandhkot during the last 24 hours, raising the overall toll of the district to 157.

Among the most-affected cities, 84 in Sukkur, 55 in Shikarpur, 50 in Khairpur, 33 in Ghotki, 14 in Thul, eight in Larkana while four children died of measles in Hyderabad.

In Punjab, 15 children have died of measles since the outbreak gripped the province. Four children died in Dera Ghazi Khan while measles claimed seven lives in Rajanpur, Ahmedpur, Sharqia, Liaqatpur, Taxila, Hujra Shah Muqeem.

Meanwhile, 10 children have died in Balochistan while measles claimed five lives in Mohmand Agency.
