LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation and Hockey India have inked an agreement under which the national teams of both the countries will play series on bilateral basis in 2013.
According to the agreement signed by secretaries of the two federations — Asif Bajwa from Pakistan and Narinder Batra from India — here on Saturday, Pakistan will send its team to India in March 2013 and then India will pay a visit to Pakistan in April.
PHF president Qasim Zia was also present on the occasion.
Talking to reporters, Qasim hailed the agreement and expressed hope that it would help both the countries to come close to each other, besides helping in honing the skills of the players.
He said the series would hopefully be held every year.
Narinder expressed similar views and said the revival of hockey ties between the two countries would promote friendship.
