KHAIRPUR, Dec 4: Ad hoc employees of the Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, appointed in 1996 onwards will now be eligible for pension and leave encashment, according to a press statement issued by the varsity administration on Tuesday. It said that the benefits had been granted by the administration on the recommendation of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah.

As many as 72 employees posted on the campus and a large number of others appointed at the Model School would benefit from the incentives, the press release said, adding that they would, however, not be able to claim seniority.
