KARACHI, Dec 1: Pakistan Railways and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) recorded convincing victories in Group ‘D’ of the departmental-leg of the second-tier Pakistan Football Federation League (PFFL) on Saturday.

Mohammad Majid scored twice as Railways overwhelmed Social Welfare 3-1 in their match Lahore’s Railways Football Stadium.

Umair Ali, Mazhar and Khurram Shahzad scored in HEC’s 3-0 victory over Pakistan Television at the FAME Club Ground in Lahore.

With three teams already through from the other three groups, the top two finishers from Group ‘D’ will advance to the ‘Group of Five’ round which will decide which team is promoted to the top-tier Pakistan Premier Football League next season.—Sports Reporter
