Of a charming lady

WHILE recently sitting on a bench of the cardiovascular department of Ayub Medical Complex, I realised why as a nation we are failing to achieve our goals.

I was allocated number 18 to see a doctor, while a young charming lady was given 28. But, as she paid many visits to the doctor’s attendant, she was sent in earlier than I was to see the doctor. The doctor’s attendant exercised his authority negatively.

I think instead of blaming politicians, bureaucrats and other government institutions, we should better mend our ways because they are not the nation, we are.
