LAHORE, Nov 6: Defence B investigation police on Tuesday submitted challans of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s son-in-law Ali Imran Yousaf, seven policemen and a private guard to a Cantonment court in connection with the bakery torture case.

They were declared guilty in the police investigation.An investigation police official told Dawn that Mr Yousaf was challaned under Section 109 (abetment) while eight others in Sections 148, 149 and 509 of the PPC.

He said all the suspects were initially arrested by police and judicially remanded by a magistrate, but they secured post-arrest bails.

A case was registered on Oct 15 after a bakery employee in T-Block Market of DHA was dragged and tortured by some policemen and the bodyguard of Mr Yousaf. The suspects also hurled life threats at Irfan.

According to two CCTV footages, the ‘daughter’ of the chief minister was found arguing with Irfan in the shop and later Elite police personnel and the woman’s bodyguard were seen thrashing the employee.
