ISLAMABAD: The Oil & Gas Regulation Authority (Ogra) on Tuesday issued show-cause notices to owners of another 18 CNG stations, DawnNews reported.

A spokesman for the Ogra said the notices had been issued to the owners of CNG stations for violating the regulatory authority’s instructions by not selling CNG.

The spokesman added that special Ogra teams visited various CNG stations in different cities across Pakistan.

A notification issued by Ogra said supply of CNG to consumers must be ensured, adding that, violation of instructions would result in the suspension of the respective station’s gas connection. The owners of the respective stations would also have to pay a heavy fine.

Ogra had issued show-cause notices to 26 CNG stations yesterday, the spokesman said, adding that, the total number of show-cause notices issued was now 44.
