LAHORE, Nov 4: Jamaat-i-Islami Secretary-General Liaquat Baloch has urged Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to accept the `genuine’ demands of young doctors by announcing a service structure for them.

In a statement here on Sunday, he said as doctors’ strike in the province was causing hardships for the masses besides financial losses to the government, it would be prudent for the government to take a realistic decision keeping in view the reservations of all the stakeholders.

He expressed deep concern over the young doctors’ decision to besiege the Chief Minister’s House and advised them to avoid doing so.

He demanded that all development projects relating to health should be completed at the earliest so that fresh appointments of doctors and paramedics could be made.

Meanwhile, JI Deputy Secretary-General Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha has urged the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of overcharging by Wapda and power distribution companies.
