HYDERABAD: Fedearal Minister for Political Affairs Senator Maula Bakhsh Chandio on Monday said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has not closed its doors for negotiations with the political parties over any issue.

“All the political parties which oppose the new local government system should present their objections to the system in a democratic and constitutional way,” said the minister while addressing a reception in a village in Hatri town.

Chandio said the people of Sindh by attending the PPP’s public meeting in Hyderabad on October 15 had showed their support for the Sindh People Local Government Bill 2012, and also expressed their trust on the leadership of the party.

He advised the Sindhi nationalist leaders to avoid confrontation and to adopt the political norms while expressing their political opposition to the system.

“We are ready to talk to any party or group for Sindh's unity and prosperity,” he said.

Commenting on village regularisation initiative of the PPP government in Sindh, he informed that 1200 villages had been regularised so far and their residents had been given the ownership rights.

The Sindh minister for fisheries and other local leaders of the PPP accompanied the minister.
