Beware: Indian bhangra and playback singer Daler Mehndi is livid. He doesn’t like the way legendary vocalist Asha Bhosle is treated on a music competition show in which young singers from India and Pakistan skippered by Himesh Reshamya and Atif Aslam respectively are taking part.

Daler M is furious about the way both captains cut Asha B when she tries to give her expert comments on a particular performance. He recently told a journalist, “Both of them are besuray (i.e. they don’t know how to sing). Ashaji is the devi of music. It takes seven lives to become a singer like Lata and Asha. The organisers of the show have gotten two jokers who are asked to comment on Ashaji. At least the producers of the show should have the sagacity that Ashaji shouldn’t be cut short when she’s talking.”

Well, come to think of it, Daler M has a point. As for the joker part, no comments.
