Bangladesh likely to tour Pakistan in December

ISLAMABAD: The Bangladesh Cricket Board is likely to send its team to Pakistan for three one-day internationals and two Twenty20s, DawnNews reported on Wednesday.

BCB president Nazmul Hasan is chairing a meeting after which the tour will be announced.

The tour is expected to take place in December before Pakistan's proposed series with India.

Bangladesh was scheduled to tour Pakistan in April for a short series, but it was cancelled after its high court ordered the visit be suspended due to security concerns.

No Test team has toured Pakistan for since the attack on the Sri Lanka team convoy in Lahore in 2009.

Last weekend an International World XI comprising of retired players from West Indies, South Africa and Sri Lanka played two exhibition Twenty20s in Karachi.

Bangladesh keep changing the coaches just like Pakistan keep changing Captain of the national cricket team. Some sane soul needs to tell our Bangali brothers, in the end positive results are the responsibility of the playing eleven. A coach is only there to guide the professionals.

It is very unfortunate that our Bengali brothers are still lost somewhere in 1971 regardless of the actual facts of history. They should have joined the recent matches in Karachi . They would have been highly respected to do so like Jaisurya from Sirilanka...heads off to Jaisuryia...

PCB is taking some very positive and creative action to ensure players security. I feel international cricket will return to pakistan very soon. It's icing on the cake given that pakistan team is already doing very well in international cricket.

The question that needs to be answered is has the Bangladeshi High Court recieved a response to its concerns, and if so, what wwas the response. Because if these concerns have not been answered, why are we proposing the tour? Surely a common sense question?
