EIDUL AZHA SECURITY PLAN: Lakki Marwat police on Monday said they had made an elaborate Eidul Azha security plan for the district.

Chairing a meeting here, district police officer Idrees Khan said under the plan, police would increase vigilance to check robberies, especially those on highways, car snatching and other crimes, during Eid days.

He said police would increase patrols, keep a close eye on the activities of suspects and provide security to Eid congregations, business centres, filling stations, parks, recreational and public places, and hotels.

The DPO said one platoon each of police, Frontier Reserve Police and Frontier Constabulary would be on standby at Police Lines for Eidul Azha.

He said the areas bordering frontier tribal regions would be closely monitored to check infiltration of criminals.

Mr Idrees said police would engage village and mohallah committee volunteers for peace during Eid days.
