KARACHI, Oct 12: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to workers of his party as well as peace-loving people of the country, in Karachi and elsewhere, to “collect details of ulema, zakirs, prayer leaders of mosques and Imam Bargahs and heads of madressah in their localities” and send them to the party’s Nine Zero headquarters in a week.

In a statement issued here on Friday, Mr Hussain said the names of all those ulema, zakirs and prayer leaders who decline to provide information should be sent to the government.

“The government should obtain information about such people in the interest of the country.”

The details, he said, would be collected by unit and sector offices of the MQM and sent to Nine Zero.
