Ninja star-shaped supersonic plane
This is really going to make you wonder how a plane shaped like ninja star, will fly in the sky with a speed unimaginable! NASA has granted 100,000 dollars for the development of such a unique plane that will travel at the supersonic speed and it will be capable of turning at 90 degree angles mid-flight, transforming itself to a supersonic jet.
The plane will fly like a normal aircraft at first, but upon reaching the supersonic atmosphere, the aircraft will rotate and then fly at twice the speed of sound.
“We are inventing the ways in which next-generation aircraft and spacecraft will change the world and inspiring Americans to take bold steps,” Michael Gazarik, director of NASA’s Space Technology Program told.
The plane’s designer, Gecheng Zha of the University of Miami said that the mid-flight rotation would not be uncomfortable for passengers, and would reduce G-force pull on takeoff.
The ninja star shaped will be an invention of our dreams however, to see it flying in our skies we have to wait for many years as the design is still under progress…
