ISLAMABAD: The commander of Nato forces in Afghanistan, US General John Allen, has postponed his visit to Pakistan, DawnNews quoted military sources as saying.

Sources added that a new date for the general's visit would soon be decided, sources added.

General Allen was likely to arrive in Pakistan for a one-day-long visit on Thursday.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Allen was expected to call on Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.

The interaction was expected to focus on reviewing the progress made in the implementation of recently evolved border coordination measures.

Who can blame him when neither the Pakistani military nor the ISI can guarantee anyone's safety on Pakistani soil anymore?

It may well have been postponed because of the continued DRONE attacks within Pakistani borders. Why can't the govts be open enough to admit the real reasons behind this postponment? Pakistani people should demand that no contact with the Americans till such time Drone attacks are stopped. Amercians are making a fool of Pakistan in the eyes of the world and I am surprised that the pakistani govt continues to ignore these attacks. Pakistani govt should wake up soon or will loose all credibility much further in the eyes of other countries. The question pakistan should ask is whether if the same was taking place in US, will they tolerate? Anwer is NO! then why should pakistan.

No one in pakistan has courage to tell him you are not welcome General Allen . This man is responsible for killing of 24 pakistani soldiers shame on pakistani to welcome him on their soil if they are so fond of meeting him go to Afghanistan.
