LAHORE, Aug 22: Robbers looted cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs7.9 million in 15 major hits in the city during Eid holidays, police said.Four armed men barged in the house of Aamir in Sattokatla police limits, held all family members at gunpoint, looted cash and valuables worth Rs1 million and fled.

Some robbers stormed into the house of Zulfikar in Defence A police limits and took away cash and valuables worth Rs800,000.

Gun-toting men approached trucker Muhammad Khan in Sherakot police limits and deprived him of cloth worth Rs800,000.

Robbers burst into the house of Irfan in Shadbagh and escaped after looting cash and valuables worth Rs700,000.

Some robbers broke into the house of Qadir in Johar Town and made off with cash and valuables worth Rs600,000.

Robbers also struck houses of Waleed in Defence B, Affi in Baghbanpura, Salman in Township, Rehmat in Shahdara, Ashiq in Mughalpura and Noman in Shadbagh and took away cash and valuables worth Rs2.5 million.

Two armed men deprived Aslam and his family of cash and valuables worth Rs400,000 in Johar Town police limits.

Two robbers waylaid the family of Abid in Gulshan Ravi police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs400,000, while as many armed men looted cash and valuables worth Rs300,000 from the family of Munir in Garden Town police limits.

Two robbers stopped the family of Asif in Faisal Town police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs400,000.

WHEELIE: A youth was killed and eight others were injured during bike stunts and wheelie during Eid holidays, police and rescuers said.

Awais of Ferozwala was driving recklessly on GT Road, Shahdara, when he lost control, fell to the ground and died.

Eight others, including Waseem, Naeem, Rizwan and Shahid, suffered multiple wounds during wheelie in Liberty, Mughalpura, Link Road, Faisal Town, Muslim Town, Upper Mall and Canal Road areas.

ACCIDENT: A Special Branch vehicle hit two vehicles and a rickshaw on Canal Road on Tuesday, leaving three people, including Shafique and Waseem, injured.

LAHORE, Aug 22: A man was caught on Wednesday stealing material from Mughalpura Yard while his accomplice escaped.
