GHALANAI, Aug 18: Unidentified armed persons gunned down four members of a family in Michini Banglo area of tehsil Ekka Ghound in Mohmand Agency on Saturday.

The residents of the area said that at about 2am unidentified persons knocked at the main gate of the house of Adam Sher. The assailants shot dead Adam Sher’s sons Janat Khan and Deadan Khan, and their cousin Iehsanullah and Zahir Khan when they came out of the house.

They said that all the four persons were killed on the spot. The assailants managed to escape after committing the crime. Motive behind the gory incident couldn’t be ascertained. Security forces, soon after the incident, conducted a search operation in the area and arrested 10 persons under collective responsibility clause of FCR.

In another incident in tehsil Amabr, Yar Khan allegedly killed his wife and injured his son seriously on Saturday.  — Correspondent
