KARACHI, Aug 17: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that compressed natural gas (CNG) stations across Sindh will close from 9am on Saturday to 9am on Sunday as per the weekly load-shedding schedule.

An SSGC statement issued on Friday further said that gas supply to all industrial units in the province would also remain suspended for 48 hours due to the persisting shortage of gas.

“The supply to industries will be closed from 7am on Saturday to 7am on Monday,” said the statement.

Petroleum and CNG Dealers Association Chairman Abdul Sami Khan told Dawn on Friday evening that the earlier reports that the gas loadshedding schedule for CNG stations would not be observed this weekend in order to provide relief to consumers on the eve of Eidul Fitr were not true and they only created confusion.
