MULTAN, Aug 10: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf President Javed Hashmi alleged on Friday that Chaudhry Nisar had played a major role in his imprisonment during the Pervez Musharraf’s government.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Hashmi said that the mother of Chaudhry Nisar secured apology for his son while assuring the former dictator that he would not participate in politics.

He said that Chaudhry Nisar had opposed the testing of nuclear bomb but the very next day he tried to take its credit when it was tested.

“One day he was opposing the idea to test the nuclear bomb while on the very next day, while addressing a public gathering, he was terming it a big achievement” he said.

He said that Chaudhry Nisar, Khwaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal and Pervez Rashid were fugitives of PML-N who left the country during the exile of party chief Nawaz Sharif and returned to the country after settling their matters with Musharraf.

He said the PML-N leadership did not like people who faced the circumstances and played their role while preferring to live in the country instead of escaping.

He said that he was not in a position to say that whether Zulfiqar Khosa would remain in the PML-N, however, he was one of those who lived in country during the exile of Nawaz Sharif.

“I have an entire book of their `achievements’. I am aware of issue related to the leadership of the PML-N that could jolt the country’s politics” he said.

He said that so-called big leaders got angry whenever one asked them about the corruption and their assets.

He challenged Chaudhry Nisar for a debate over the 11 points put up by PTI head Imran Khan.

He said Chuadhry Nisar had been with all martial laws and such people had sold the blood of loyal voters and supporters.

He said that Nawaz Sharif too wanted to clip the powers of judiciary however he (Hashmi) opposed him.

He said that Shahbaz Sharif visited Multan (recently) after four and half years and announced the already-approved projects.

“They have been betraying the denizens of Multan by announcing such projects that must have been initiated by the Punjab government long ago.”
