NAROWAL, Aug 7: Rangers have once again rejected an Indian claim that there existed any tunnel in Lambrial sector on the Working Boundary near Zafarwal.
The rangers drove a team of media personnel to the area on Tuesday to show them the site which is opposite to Chilyari sector on the Indian side. The Indian army claims that some terrorists had dug up the tunnel from Lambrial to enter Chilyari.
Abdul Ghani, a shepherd, said he had been living in the area for the last 50 years and had never seen any movement on the Pakistani side which could suggest the digging of any tunnel. He said India had fenced the boundary heavily and installed flood lights.
He said at night the area was completely lit up and there was no chance of any body sneaking into the Indian territory from our side due to constant patrolling.
