HYDERABAD, Aug 3: A landlord has made the life of a man miserable and devises different tactics to grab the land the man earns his living from.
The man has asked the government to provide protection and justice to him and take action against landlords.
Abdul Majeed Burfat of Jhangra union council near Sehwan narrating his ordeal at a press conference on Friday alleged that Juman Noohani and Malook Noohani along with their accomplices injured his son and took away with them six cows, two bulls and a calf worth Rs1 million.
“I paid them Rs150,000 against a demand of Rs200,000 but they haven’t returned my animals as yet,” he said.
Brafat said that Noohanis were influential landlords and had lodged fake cases against him and even managed to send him behind the bars.
He alleged that they wanted to buy his 40 acres of agricultural land forcibly while he didn’t want to sell his only source of income.
They were even implicating him in fake cases to intimidate him, he alleged.
Earlier in 2005, they attacked the Noohani’s house and deprived him of a motorcycle and Rs30,000 cash.
Appeal: A villager has appealed to the government to ensure release of his father and brother arrested in a fake murder case registered at the behest of influential landlords.
He also requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief Justice of Sindh High Court to ensure arrest of killers of his farm worker.
Ayaz Chandio of Bahadurpur village near Khairpur Nathan Shah, at a press conference on Friday alleged Shah Murad Chandio and Mehboob Chandio of killing Mubarak Ali alias Mohammad Chuttal who was his friend and a farm worker.
“Shah Murad Chandio threatened Khadim, brother of the deceased to lodge a murder case against my father Nabidad Chandio and brother Arbab Chandio, which he did.
The landlord was adopting these tactics to occupy two acres of land our family owns,” he said. The landlord, in the past had got registered two fake FIRs against the family.
Ayaz said the DIG Sanaullah Abbasi, on his request, asked the SP Hyderabad Amjad Shaikh to conduct an inquiry in the case.
Investigating Officer Muzaffar Leghari informed Amjad Shaikh that Mehboob Chandio and Muzaffar alias Pathan Chandio were involved in the murder of Mubarak.
