THIS is apropos of the report ‘Bhoja Air barred from selling business assets’(July 30) by Bhagwandas.

After the passing of 100 miserable days for the families of the victims, we have found one positive approach of the Civil Aviation Authority as the “competent authority has decided not to allow any change in the ownership of Bhoja Air’s aviation business assets in Pakistan until all Civil Aviation outstanding dues /compensation to the victims of Bhoja Air aircraft crash on April 20, 2012, have been paid in full”.

In our current prevailing system, a powerful person can do anything whatsoever he wants and the same thing was happening here as the airline owner preferred, instead of coming back to Pakistan to fight a legal battle, to stay abroad to secure his business interest their and also attempted to take away his investment in the airline by trying to sell the Boeing Air craft to Shaheen Air.

The deal was almost finalised but stopped at the last minute on the CAA refusal for registration of the aircraft on the Shaheen Air name.

We have been given to understand that the CAA already informed the FIA, SECP and Shaheen Air and other relevant authorities about freezing of Bhoja Air assets till settlement of its liabilities.

We hope that the same sprite will be continued from all of governmental and social forums in future to provide justice and legal compensation to every victim’s family.

We all knew that there is no compensation for our brother Raza Ali Feroz’s life.

The money cannot bring back the charisma of his lovely personality, his wit, his photographic memory, his knowledge about the industry, his technical know-how, his magnetism, etc., but at least his family can get what they legally deserve.

We request all of the readers to recite Surah-i-Fateha for the departed soul of my brother Raza Ali Feroz and all other victims of the Bhoja Air crash. May Allah rest their souls in eternal peace and give patience to their families.
