KARACHI, July 25: Daniyal Ahsan hammered 57 off 31 balls to lead Tapal CC to a comprehensive nine-wicket victory over Maymar CC in a Group ‘A’ match of the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Trophy Silver Jubilee cricket tournament at the AKG Ground here on Wednesday.

Maymar CC, batting first, caved in inside 19.1 overs for a meagre total of 95. Opener Shiraz Ali was the one player to make a big impression as he hit 59 from 61 deliveries with the aid of three fours and one six.

Leg-spinner Akhtar Waheed Kayani grabbed three wickets for 16 runs, while paceman Babar Rehman and slow left-armer Kamran Omar each took two wickets.

Daniyal then blasted eight fours and one as Tapal CC raced to their target in just 9.4 overs.
