LAHORE, July 21: The Young Doctors Association, Punjab, has announced resuming agitation from July 26 to pile pressure on the government for the provision of service structure.

The decision was taken in a YDA’s general council meeting held at the Services Hospital late on Friday.

Presided over by YDA President Dr Hamid Butt, the meeting discussed all the options available to pressurize the government for the service structure and finally decided to launch a peaceful agitation by wearing black armbands.

YDA leader Dr Mudasar Razaq told Dawn that young doctors would take out rallies after every alternate day at major teaching hospitals in the province.

He said that rallies would be organized within the health facilities and would continue till the acceptance of their demand.

Answering a question, he said the YDA unanimously decided not to observe a strike.
