Junaid Khan, the son of famous Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan, was selected as first assistant to the director in his father’s venture "Peekay", starring Aamir and Anushka Sharma, according to a news report published in Times of India.

The Director of the movie, Raj Kumar Hirani, had previously worked with Aamir on the sets of critically acclaimed blockbuster hit three Idiots. Hiran was impressed by Junaid’s keen interest in the art of film making.

“Hirani was reportedly impressed by his cinematic awareness and eye for detail,” said a source close to the unit of the film.

Since "Peekay" will be shot in locations all over India, Aamir is reported to have been worried about his son’s academics.

The film marks Junaid’s first entrance into the world of Bollywood. Whether he will take it further and chooses to enter mainstream cinema like his father, remains to be seen.
