KARACHI, July 15: On the orders of the prime minister, two tankers of the Pakistan Navy delivered 1,100 tonnes of fresh drinking water in the coastal areas of Balochistan, particularly Gwadar.

According to a statement, the PM in view of the prevailing water scarcity in Balochistan had directed the navy to provide all possible relief to residents of the coastal cities, including Gwadar and Ormara.

The navy distributed the water, which had been carried onboard PNS Moawan and PNS Madadgar to Gwadar, among the residents in coordination with local administration.

Commander Coast Rear Admiral Zaffar Abbasi later briefed the prime minister regarding the arrangements.
