AMRITSAR: Women soldiers of Pakistan and India will soon perform the ceremonial beating retreat held every evening at the Attari-Wagah border of the two countries.
According to a report in the Times of India, border security forces of the Pakistan and India - Pakistan Rangers and India's Border Security Force (BSF) - agreed to have women platoon commanders for the daily flag-lowering ceremony held simultaneously by the two forces at the Attari-Wagah border.
Though both sides have decide to have female platoon commanders, they are likely to begin conducting the parade after they develop perfect coordination.
Three years ago, for the first time, India’s BSF posted women at the India-Pakistan border. The women personnel of the BSF guard the force's border outposts and are also posted along the barbed wire fencing at the international border.

Actually the opposite happened when India was rulled by their only female PM. IG was not sympathetic, not emotional and not humane enough. She killed her own Sikh nations, implemented emergency in India upon their SC orders of her seat disqualification and that why met an unfortunate end. She was never for friendship in sub-continent and laid the seeds of hatred for ever. Contrarirly, BB from Pakistan was humane and friendly to India. Same with all PMs in Pak as no one had any nefarious designs against neighbors.

Why ? I think the event has fallen from grace already - a good soldier on guard duty is expected to have no emotions. The Scot / IrishGuards with their bear-skin hats at Buckingham Palace are one such example.
Chest beating is for monkeys! and yes gossip we'll have indeed, it being wicked a major no no.

That's a good approach towards many positive things but on the other hand remember there's always 2 sides of a coin. Anyway i appreciate whatever they are trying to do and being a Pakistani I would recommend peace & love between both countries instead of hate & war...

I trust it will cause more interesting event of daily evening & more number of people will gather to watch the same. Women are comparatively more sensible & they will add friendship between both the nation. It is the requirement of time & we should encourage it. I feel more number of good literate women should be allowed to participate in various activities from both the countries to bring our relation normal as we have done enough harm to each other.

I would say its an excellent step. Women should be encouraged in all parts of life, including the armed forces as they (on both sides of the border) are equally patriotic and capable as their men counterpart.
