NOWSHERA, June 25: Former amir of Jamaat-i-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmad has demanded that the government announce date for fresh elections in the country.

“The present rulers have failed to overcome energy crisis as they are pursuing their own interests,” said Qazi Hussain Ahmad while talking to media persons here on Monday.

He said that the confrontation among the state institutions would turn ugly as the changing faces would not resolve the people’s problems. He said that the government should give up confrontational policies and should announce fresh elections in the country.

Qazi said that profitable industries had been turned into loss making entities, adding the prolonged loadshedding had further stressed the economy.

Qazi said that the government had no roadmap to solve the problems of the people. He said if the people didn’t elect sincere and devoted people in the forthcoming elections their miseries would be multiplied.
