KARACHI: Aisam-ul-Haq of Pakistan and Jean-Julien Rojer defeated Conrad Huey of Philippines and Scott Lipsky  of the United States to clinch the Halle Open doubles trophy on Sunday.

Defending champion Qureshi and his Dutch partner Rojer breezed past the unseeded pair of Huey and Lipsky  6-4, 6-3 to lift their second trophy together.

Previously, the top seeds overcame Poland’s Lukasz Kubot and Russia’s Mikhail Youzhny 6-2, 6-4 in the semi-final.

Qureshi and Rojer won the Estoril Open before reaching the semi-finals of the French Open where they were knocked out by Mike and Bob Bryan.

The Pak-Dutch pair will now be playing in the UNICEF Open where they are the second seeds. Their first match will be against Colombian duo of Alejandro Falla and Santiago Giraldo.
