KARACHI: Cricket Australia are reportedly in talks with former Pakistan captain and coach Waqar Younis to replace bowling coach Craig McDermott, ESPNCricinfo reported.

Younis, who resigned as Pakistan's coach last year citing personal reasons, is based in Sydney and has been in talks with the CA to take over the position which was vacated by McDermott after Australia's tour to West Indies.

McDermott, 47, worked with great success in developing Australia’s fast bowling in the 12 months he was in the job. Now Australia can benefit from Younis in the art of reverse swing -- something they have had problems with in the past.
