KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday vowed that the ruling coalition in Sindh will foil all conspiracies against peace in the province, DawnNews reported.

The interior minister, currently on a visit in United Kingdom, had a meeting with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain at his residence in London.

The minister said that ‘some elements’ were trying to instigate turbulence in Sindh. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the MQM along with their coalition partners in the province will fail those elements, he added.

Malik, during the meeting, conveyed messages of prosperity to the MQM chief from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

He commended Altaf Hussain for playing exemplary role for the stability of democracy and welfare of the state.

The MQM chief said that removing public’s deprivation to promote unity and solidarity was need of the hour.
