The prevailing situation in the province, ties with the coalition partners and other matters of importance were discussed at the meeting held at the Governor House here.

A statement issued from the Governor House here on Monday said that at the meeting it was stressed that those elements that are marring the law and order situation should be curbed and that action be ensured without any distinction against the elements involved in crimes as this is necessary for the continuation of trade and industrial activities.

At the meeting various steps were reviewed for ensuring protection of lives and property of the people.

It also considered further strengthening the ties among the coalition partners.

The governor said that through a multi-pronged strategy stress is being laid on the welfare of the people and provision of facilities to the masses.

Khan said that Karachi is the commercial and economic hub of Pakistan and provision of infrastructure here is essential for development of the country.
