RAWALPINDI, May 26: A person was killed while three others injured over a property dispute on Girja Road on Saturday evening.

The incident took place in Malik Colony when Mohammad Farooq and Mohammad Amin, both cousins, engaged in a brawl over a property dispute.

The police said Mohammad Farooq tried to construct a wall at his portion of the house while Mohammad Amin tried to stop him saying it would block the entrance to his house. But, Farooq refused to listen and Amin and his two brothers Ashraf and Hamid opened fire at Farooq, killing him on the spot. His mother Munawar Bibi, 50, and two brothers Mohammad Nazeer and Mohammad Hanif received bullet injuries.

On information, the police and Rescue 1122 team reached there and shifted the body and the injured to the DHQ Hospital.

The attackers managed to escape from the scene.

“We have formed two teams to arrest the culprits,” said Tariq Mehmood, additional SHO Saddar Bairooni police station. — A Reporter
