MONACO: Formula One drivers Romain Grosjean and Jenson Button swapped helmets and overalls for chef's hats and aprons here Wednesday in a cook-off to mark the publication of a recipe book compiled by tyre manufacturer Pirelli.
McLaren's 2009 British world champion Button used his allotted 20 minutes at the stove to serve up a quintessentially English dish - pepper steak and potatoes.
Frenchman Grosjean, a keen amateur cook who had considered becoming a professional chef after his first failed bid to make it in F1, prepared a tuna steak accompanied with clams and courgettes.
After a tasting session the jury made up of a group of F1 journalists declared a draw.
Button and Grosjean will put away their cooking utensils on Thursday for the opening free practise session on the streets of the Principality ahead of Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix.
