PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday said that the recommendations of the parliament over resumption of Nato supplies are very clear and there is no ambiguity hence there is no justification for restoring them.
Speaking to media representatives, Fazl said strategic agreements with the US and all other countries had been ended therefore restoration of supply to Nato will have no moral or legal justification. “Supply to Nato was closed with mutual understanding…..opening it will damage national coherence and unity,” he added.
Talking about situation in Karachi, the JUI-F chief said that politics of weapon has no justification while feeling of insecurity among the people was at all time high therefore serious steps were required to restore their trust on the government.
“People have lost trust over the steps been taken by the government for restoration of peace in Karachi as no positive results have been seen of whatever steps being taken by the administration,” said Fazlur Rehman.
He said the government should take the issue seriously and ensure its writ in Karachi otherwise the financial hub of Pakistan will further be disturbed and sense of insecurity among the people will prevail.
