TAXILA, May 8: Four alleged women swindlers deprived a jeweller of gold bangles worth Rs300,000 in Hassanabdal on Tuesday.

Akhter Ali reported to the police that four women posing as customers came to his shop. They asked him to show some gold sets which they wanted to purchase. As they were seeing the jewellery, they asked for cold water to drink. He said when he went to fetch water for them; they took gold bangles and managed to escape from the scene. The police registered a case and started further investigation. —Correspondent
