LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday criticised the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led coalition government citing allegations of inefficiency and corruption, DawnNews reported.
After distributing laptops to ‘meritorious’ students in Sialkot, Sharif voiced criticism against the commission formed by the government for the air crash investigation and suggested that the commission was not performing its duties.
Accusing the current government setup of corruption, the chief minister pledged that his party would make all possible efforts to rid the nation of it.
“National wealth is being ruthlessly plundered by the corrupt elements,” he said, adding that “in these circumstances when people see the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) with hope, I feel strengthened.”
