KARACHI: Ten people were killed and several others were injured when armed men opened indiscriminate fire in different areas of the violence-ridden city, DawnNews reported on Wednesday.
The Sindh home ministry has taken a decision of closing all tea shops in the metropolis at midnight.
The decision was taken after unidentified men killed a man in Gulistan-i-Johar and two in North Nazimabad during attacks on tea shops.
Chakiwara, Surjani Town, Usmanabad Liyari, Liaquatabad, Sohrab Goth and Karimabad were among other areas which were hit by violence.
The provincial government has announced to distribute Rs 200,000 to each family that has lost a member amid targeted killings in the city.
Moreover, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has also announced to allocate Rs 20 million to recompense the violence-hit families.
