It was said at a meeting presided over by District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal here on Monday.

The meeting reviewed progress on the crackdown on violators of the ban imposed by the government on service of more than one dish and marriage ceremonies continuing beyond 10pm.

Town municipal officers told the DCO and other participants that cases had been registered against the violators and two of them had been arrested. He advised them to keep police with them during raids/inspections of marriage halls.
