ISLAMABAD, March 16: A woman landed herself in jail along with her eight-year-old daughter after a man accused her of kidnapping his 27-year-old son, police said on Friday.

Bushra Bibi was caught along with her daughter when she arrived in Islamabad at Frash Town on the request of the complainant – Hukam Khan. The police was waiting for the woman as Mr Khan informed them about her arrival.

Later she was arrested and shifted to Shahzad Town police station for investigation. Earlier, Khan told the police that the accused had kidnapped his son Mohammad Imran 27, some six months ago.

During interrogation, Bushra, a mother of three, told police that she met Imran in Attock jail where he was detained and so was her husband Mohammad Mushtaq under narcotics act.

She used to visit her husband regularly and during the period developed acquaintance with Imran. After release from jail, Imran returned home and met with her regularly. But his present whereabouts were not known, the woman told police.

Investigation Officer Mohammad Baloch said preliminary investigation suggested that Imran left his house on his will and it was suspected that he was in some jail in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in connection with drug-peddling.

The woman was produced in the court from where she was sent to Adiala Jail on 14-day judicial remand. She claimed that her relatives were coming to arrange bail for her but no one came.

“We waited at the court for hours for the relatives but no one arrived there and later the woman was taken to jail along with her daughter,” the IO said. — Staff Reporter
