GUJAR KHAN, March 7: A young man was shot dead by his uncle over a land dispute in Habib Kanial village on Wednesday.

Mohammad Waseem reported to police that he along with his father Mohammad Amin and brother Mohammad Naveed went to their fields while his uncle Mohammad Akbar was also there. In order to teach a lesson to Mohammad Naveed for ploughing in the fields; Akbar opened indiscriminate fire at him with a pistol killing him on the spot. The victim’s body was shifted to THQ hospital for autopsy.

Police registered a case against Mohammad Akbar who managed to escape from the scene. — Correspondent
